DIY - DISH SOAP

Ingredients:

15 - 30 drops of essential oil such as lemon, citrus or thieves*.

1 cup of distilled water

1/2 cup of Castile Soap

2 tsp Vegetable Glycerin (optional as this is mainly used to thicken your soap)

Method:

In a plastic 16 oz bottle** place water, essential oils and finally the 1 cup of Castile soap. Gently swirl the ingredients together. If it seems to watery then simply add the 2 tsp of Vegetable Glycerin.

Ultimately, the essential oil you use is totally up to your own personal preference. Have fun with it!

* Thieves essential oil - this is an oil that is a combination of oils known to fight germs. It doesn't always go by this name depending who you are purchasing your oils from but you can also simply make it yourself with this recipe and place in a dark glass container:

  • 40 drops of clove oil

  • 35 drops of lemon or orange oil

  • 20 drops of cinnamon oil

  • 15 drops of eucalyptus oil

  • 10 drops of rosemary oil

** Plastic bottle is preferred to glass for safety reasons (soapy hands and all..). You can find a safe plastic container with a pull top but honestly, don't sweat everything. Progress not perfection.
